Our journey to Farum

After over a year of scrambling online to find a live stream of FCN games or desperately trying to translate the club's official twitter feed, two of the FCN Glasgow boys finally got to see Martin Vingaard (in the absence of Patrick Mtiliga) lead out the team live at Farum Park.

On 12th April 2015, Mark and Michael travelled to Farum for the game against OB after spending a couple of days in Copenhagen. Little did we know that upon arrival at Farum train station, the Wild Tigers (FCN's official fan club) had arranged a surprise for us. We were chauffeured to the stadium in a Mustang convertible where we were welcomed by the Wild Tigers and Tobias of FCN TV.

After a few beers with Jeppe, Jan, Rasmus and the guys on the old terracing, it was time for the game. Joining the Wild Tigers in the Red Zone, we sampled the pre-match atmosphere and with the help of some translation from Rasmus, joined in the singing.

The game didn't go to plan with OB scoring immediately after Uffe Bech's 90th minute equaliser to win 2-1.

Such was the surprise at two guys from Glasgow travelling so far to watch the team, we were interviewed live on TV (Canal 8) by Simon Jorgensen and by Tobias for FCN TV. Two really cool guys.

Despite their obvious disappointment at the result, the players came out for some photos and autographs. Special mention to Uffe Bech and Emiliano Marcondes who were top lads!

After the match, we headed to the cafe for a few post match beers with Helle, Inge, Jan and other members of the Wild Tigers, who couldn't have been nicer. They shared some stories of following FCN over the years and we got an opportunity to thank them for their incredible hospitality. They do a lot to promote FCN and encourage young fans to come along to Farum Park. Have a look at their website wildtigers.dk or give them a follow on social media.

It was such a memorable experience for us, with many new friends made, and we hope to be back at Farum Park soon with the rest of the boys.
